Communities in and around the towns of Northam, Narrogin and Merredin now have guaranteed access to 24-hour-a-day, 7-day-a-week emergency medical care through the new SIHI district network model.
Under the Southern Inland Health Initiative, private general practitioners have been engaged to join the emergency roster to work on the hospital floor for a 12-hour shift in Merredin, Northam and Narrogin and be rostered for after-hours on-call.
Tourism BOOST Online Guide is finally live. One of the main aims of the guide is to help operators understand the tourism industry and give them tools and resources to help get their business off the ground and make it successful. Now that Tourism WA do not have regional representation I’m really hoping that the guide will be a source for tourism operators in need of product development help.

An interactive, state-of-the-art Discovery Centre was unveiled in the eastern Wheatbelt town of Narembeen telling the story of the Western Australia grains industry from paddock to plate. Go Narembeen Progress Association President Brian Cusack, together with CBH Chairman Neil Wandel and CBH Board Member Mick McGinness, Hon. Mia Davies MLC and Shire President Cr Rhonda Cole officially cut the ribbon to the Centre on Tuesday 24th April 2012.
